Study your lines for the play! All your lines should be learnt by heart and spoken fluently. You should be ready to act on stage without using your scripts.
In groups produce a basic audio-visual presentation of your time in school, to display during our graduation assembly. Discuss and plan with your group the main points your video will consist of. Think and present: a) What is school? b)What are friends? c) Why do you have to leave school? d) How do you feel? You may include photos, poems, artwork, famous quotes and sayings, all around the themes of leaving, change, goodbyes, growing up, etc.

IPC: Find out biographical information about Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926) who is a significant architect and sculptor from Spain. What inspired his work and why his designs were considered so significant? Did they influence architecture at the time?
You can work in a small group of three pupils, with a partner or independently. Your work should be presented in google slides.
Numeracy: To revise comparing and ordering negative numbers including calculating differences between negative numbers and positive and negative numbers; Revise how brackets can be used in calculation problems, revise knowledge of the order of operations to carry out calculations involving the four operations, and revise solving missing number problems using inverse operations; Revise finding percentages of numbers, converting fractions, decimals and percentages and making comparisons using percentages;Revise using trial and improvement to solve equations involving one or two unknowns, and find missing lengths and angles
Literacy: To write for different purposes, using evidence from the book. Use appropriate vocabulary to describe characters. Write poems selecting vocabulary for precision.
In Literacy: Read the next part of our chapter ahead. Investigate unknown vocabulary and draw inferences about characters’ feelings and actions. Be ready to answer questions and demonstrate your comprehension on Monday the 12th of June.
In Numeracy: Complete worksheets given on Friday. Convert decimals to fractions and fractions to percentages.
In IPC: Find out the names of some artists from the past or present who through their medium and style have been a major influence on others. e.g. Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet etc.You can focus on two artists, one from your home country and one from the host country. Find examples of their work in books or on the internet and consider why they are significant. What was special about their work that other people recognised? Present your work on Google slides. Be ready to present in class on Tuesday the 13th of June.
Consider how authors have developed characters in a text
Be able to infer a character’s feelings, actions and motives
Use appropriate vocabulary to describe characters
Write a play script and edit. Suggest improvements.
In Numeracy: Revise reading, writing, comparing and ordering numbers with up to seven digits and decimal numbers with up to three decimal places; revise rounding decimal numbers to the nearest tenth and whole number; revise rounding big numbers to the nearest thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand and million; revise locating a number on a number line marking numbers it lies between;
Read the next parts of the 3rd chapter and investigate meanings of unknown words. When you have achieved the comprehension of the text complete the worksheet given on note-making and paragraphing. Your task is to underline the main points (events) in the chapter and write a summary of the text. This piece of homework is due in Wednesday the 7th of June.
Now that the roles have been allocated in our class you are ready to start reading your lines. Make sure your are fluent with your lines and you put colour in your voice in order to bring characters into life!
Numeracy: Complete the worksheets given on sequences and ratio.
IPC: Choose one quotation that has significance for you and copy it in a speech bubble on an A3 paper. Draw a picture to illustrate the words. E.g. Michelangelo is quoted as saying: ”The greater danger for most of men lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short, but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark.”

IPC: In our new topic in IPC, “They made a difference” we will learn that some people have made such a big difference in the world that their influence on our lives can still be felt today. From scientists to sports people, from politicians to musicians, from all backgrounds, countries, races and religions there are people whose ideas or achievements have singled them out from others.
Research project: Think and research: Are there any significant leaders from the past?Research the following questions:

What did they do that we remember them for?
What did people at the time think of them?

Literacy: Considering our learning outcomes during this Anti-Bulling week and our focus on Cyber-bullying, reflect on the phrase ‘Think before you send’ and consider the impact of and emojis when communicating.😃
Discusswith your family or a friend at home: What happens when we send without thinking? Why do people need to remind themselves to think before sending or clicking? Make sure you give some strong reasons for your answers. Be ready to feed back in class on Monday.
Then, use the template with the emojis you were given and investigate, explore their meanings. In your Homework book write a report about emojis (organise your information in paragraphs following the questions below):What do we use emojis for? Do we all use them in the same way or do different groups use them for different reasons? Do older/younger people you know understand emojis in the same way as you do? Why do we use them? (Secret code? Communicating quickly?) Are they a good or bad thing? How can they be used for good/misused for bad purposes? What should we remember when we are quickly sending emojis to people?
Use the blank emoji sheet to draw your own, either ones you know and use, or some you have made up. Can you explain what do your emojis mean?
