Holiday home activities

Dear  Parents,

I am aware that many of you are going away for the holidays so the activities mentioned below are optional.

1) Play the doubling game which was put inside your child’s home activity book today.

2) We have been learning all about hedgehogs during our recent Power of Reading book, ‘The Hodgeheg’, by Dick King Smith. Complete a personal project on hedgehogs, this could be done in any way. Some ideas are a fact poster, a hedgehog poem, build a hedgehog house or make a clay hedgehog. This should be brought into school the week beginning 11th January 2016. The children should be prepared to share their project with their friends and talk about it with confidence.

If any of you are missing these activities please nip into my classroom to get them as I have left extra copies on my desk.

Please note, as mentioned in the recent school newsletter, all library and reading stage books have been collected today. This is to allow us to do a full stock check. Due to this the children DO NOT need to bring their green book bags next week.

Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Thanks for all of your support this term as it has been very appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you all in the New Year when I’m fighting fit and back to my usual self.

Best Wishes

Karen Hagenaars
