Happy Hanukkah!

Today we shared the first day of Hanukkah with one of our Jewish class mates. He brought in the special candle holder (Menorah) and told us what the eight candles symbolizes. It was great to find out about other faiths. The children in Dove class were very respectful listeners and enjoyed the follow up activity we completed.

The candles will burn for 8 days

Opening the Surprises

The children did an amazing job of their surprises this Sinterklaas.
In the morning we celebrated the safe arrival of Sinterklaas (surprisingly with a please escort!?!?!) at Dr DeVisser school.
We then went back to class at the ISB to open our surprises. It was clear that the children had spent a lot of time on them and thought carefully about the person they were making the surprise for. The poetry was also fantastic! I was really proud of everyone! Top job Dove class!
