This is a copy of the Home Activity for Year 3 and 4 this week.  The children have a copy in their Home Activity book. Please come and see me if you have any questions.  Miss Johnson.

Dear Children,

For our IPC Topic ‘Are You From Around Here?’, we would like you to bring into school some information about where you have enjoyed living the most. We have spoken a little about this in class, but here is some more information.

First, choose where you have enjoyed living the most. It might even be the place that you are living now! Once you have chosen, collect together some information about it to bring into school.

You could bring into school: –

  • Photos of the place
  • A map showing where it is
  • A picture that you have drawn of the place
  • A PowerPoint Presentation or other type of presentation with information about the place

This list could go on. Be as creative as you like. There are no right and wrong ways.

We also would like to know why you enjoyed or enjoy living there.

Do you like the weather the most? Why is it so good?

Do you like the things that you can do there the most? What can you do that is so great?

Again, this list could go on. You can make new questions to answer. There are no right and wrong ways to do this. For this part, you could hand write or type your questions and answers.

Please bring your work into school before Friday 29 January.

If you have any questions about this, please ask.

Good luck!

Miss Johnson and Mr Scragg.

Dear Parents,

With this type of activity, we want to encourage your children to just have a go. There is no right or wrong answer.

As always, if they have any questions about these activities, they should come and see us. This is their homework, not yours. If you see them becoming frustrated, you could try to help them. If that still does not help, they need to stop and come and see us.

We trust we have informed you sufficiently.

Best wishes,

Miss Johnson and Mr Scragg.
